Chapter Leadership
The ACSM Northwest executive board is an all-volunteer board that serves the mission of the Chapter. The board is made up of 11 positions which are elected by the Chapter membership. Below you will find pictures and contact information of our current executive board. New board members are elected every year as most positions rotate on a 3 year basis (2 years for student positions). Board positions opening in 2025 (applications due Winter 2024):
- President-Elect (3 year term)
- National Student Representative (2 year term)
- Member At Large- Clinical (3 year term)
- Regional Chapters Committee Representative (3 year term)
The application form and descriptions of the open board positions are below. Please contact info@acsmnorthwest.org with any questions about the positions or expected contributions. Each of the positions requires attendance at all executive board meetings including but not limited to: Annual Meeting in early spring (in-person), summer conference call, and a fall board meeting. Many of these are conducted virtually aside from the Annual Meeting.
President Elect
The president elect works closely with the current president and past president to oversee the chapter business. The president elect is responsible for organizing the chapter social, reviews abstracts and supports the annual conference. This position is a three year position rotating into the president (2026) and past president (2027).
Member at Large Clinical
The member at large for fitness is a three year term and shall serve on the Executive Board and serve the chapter president in an advisory capacity concerning the activities of the chapter in the areas of clinical membership, clinical publications, clinical educational opportunities, clinical outreach, and clinical member/professionals representation.
National Student Representative
The national student representative is a two year commitment. The national student representative provides the student voice and connects the Chapter to students in the region and is a member of the national ACSM Student Advisory Committee. Additional responsibilities include Annual Meeting planning and student knowledge bowl preparation.
Regional Chapters Committee Representative
The RCCR is a three year term and attends all chapter executive board meetings and our Annual Meeting. The RCCR also attends the Regional Chapters Committee at the annual National ACSM meeting if/when it occurs and attends any other regularly occurring meetings with National related to regional chapter business. The RCCR aids in the regional Annual Meeting planning and oversees our sponsorship program for the Chapter.
